A Journey By Boat
Any kind of journey is pleasant(আনন্দদায়ক) to all. But a journey by boat is specially (বিশেষভাবে) very pleasant and enjoyable (উপভোগ্য) to me. During the last summer vacation,(ছুটি) I and some of my friends made a journey by boat from Deghirpar to Nikli. The purpose (উদ্দেশ্য) was to attend (উপস্থিত) the marriage ceremony (অনুষ্ঠান) of my friend’s elder sister. We started out journey from Deghirpar ghat at 9 a.m. There were two boatmen (মাঝি). The sky was clear (পরিষ্কার). The river was calm. As the wind (বায়ু) was favourable,(অনুকূল) the boatmen set sail (জাহাজ ভাসানো). Soon the boat began to move fast. Slight weaves tossed (অল্প তরঙ্গ ছুড়ে দেয়) the boat and the mrmuring sound of the water charmed me (আমাকে মুগ্ধ) much. We saw a large number of big and small boats plying up and down (উপর নিচ) in the river. We saw some steamers and motor launches playing through the river. Fishermen were catching fish in the river. Boys and girls were swimming. Women were going home with jars (পাত্র) filled with water. There were green fields on both sides of the river. Cattle (গবাদি পশু) were grazing (গোচারণ) here and there. At last we reached nikli ghat at 3.p.m. We got down (নামলাম) from the boat and my friends received us cordially (আন্তরিকভাবে). I enjoyed the journey most. The memory of the journey will remain (থাকা) ever-fresh (সদা তাজা) in my life

Aim in life/My future plane of life
Everyman wants to succeed (সফল করতে চায়) in life. So they must have a definite (নির্দিষ্ট) aim (লক্ষ্য) in life. I have also an aim in life. I want to be a doctor. There are many reasons (অনেক কারণ আছে) for choosing (চয়নের) this. Most of the people (বেশিরভাগ মানুষ) of our cuntrylive in villages. They are poor and illiterate ( তারা গরীব এবং অশিক্ষিত). They have no well sense of health. They suffer (ভোগা) from carious (ক্ষয়প্রাপ্ত ) diseases (রোগ) and die a premature death (অকাল মৃত্যু). They do not get proper medicare (চিকিৎসাসেবা) for the lack (অভাব) of qualifie (যোগ্যতাসম্পন্ন ) doctor. Besides, there is shortage (ঘাটতি আছে) of doctors in many villages. So, I have chosen this profession (পেশা) to serve them(তাদের পরিবেশন করা). Now I am a student of class eight. I have promised (অঙ্গীকার করেছেন) that I will study in science group(বিজ্ঞান গ্রুপে) . Then I shall pass the (H.S.C) exam, with good result. After passing the (H.S.C) examination. I shall get myself admitted (ভর্তি) into a medical college for (M.B.B.S). After passing (M.B.B.S) I shall come back home and serve the village people. If I earn (
অর্জন করা) enough money: I shall start a cheritable dispensary (cheritable dispensary). I shall give medicine to the poor without fee (পারিশ্রমিক).
